American Idol 2008 contestants now down to 16

American Idol 2008 season 7 is getting much tougher as four more aspiring American Idols had been evicted from this weeks Top 20 Idols competition. Ryan Seacrest mentioned there were over 30 million voted for this weeks competition - wow not bad at all for a show which allegedly according to American Idol haters was loosing its lustre.

American Idol 2008

To be included in the top 24, let alone in the top 20, amongst thousands of American Idol hopefuls is such a great honour. Sadly it’s good bye for bubbly Alexandrea Lushington, emotional and embarrassed Alaina Whitaker, not so much of a rocker Robbie Carrico and taking head banging to a new level Jason Yeager. I do hope that their exposure in the American Idol 2008 Semi Finals will help boost their singing career should they decide to carry on. Good luck guys and gals.

Next week, American Idols are down to 16 and four more contestants will leave the competition. The Top 12 American Idols, 6 guys and 6 girls, will then compete for the finals. Far more interesting than last years competition, I tell you. So keep on watching.

  1. hindi maganda yung judge kay Ramiele nitong huling show. pero okay naman yata performance eh. di nga lang the best nya.

  2. Let’s ust hope Ramiele Malubay pick a more catchy song next week.

  3. as Simon and the others say.. she should stick to her comfort songs. last week she chose a more danceable sone just because she’s being afraid of being type-casted as the “lullaby” girl. if that would take her to the top, then why not stick with her genre.

  4. On Ramiele - I think she should try and explore something new or she risks being branded “boring” or “safe”. Ramiele just need to ensure she makes it more contemporary. A classic example is Blake, who got the first runner up from last year’s American Idol finals - not the best singer amongst the top 12 but he managed to get himself through till the finale. If Ramiele Malubay is to do a similar strategy, I don’t see why not she can’t, she’s a far better singer than Blake.
