Do I still have a place online?
Just had a little talk with my friends about my future plan in the world of business. The topic of our conversation touched mainly on conducting business online. With a large number of businesses now online, I asked them if my potential business still has a place in the world wide web.
Convenience was highlighted from a retailers perspective. They said that there are far less hassles in running an online business. This maybe true for a small percentage of businesses where items being sold are conducted entirely online as in the case of access to premium content. But this is not where I wanted to dwell, at least for now. Most online shops requires the deliveries of some items to customers. But apart from this, little do they know that there are a lot more things to be done. Without being condescending, I made them realise this. This had only been possible due to my interest in this field. I had gained some knowledge of some things that are necessary before you can commence your electronic retail shop. Some of which I gathered over the internet. However, it is highly essential to ensure that local guidelines and regulations are followed.
I highlighted the need for an online shopping cart and an ecommerce software. Ecommerce software is what I would consider a backbone of an online shop. This facilitates the financing and payment aspects of any sales transactions. To help facilitate understanding of what I was on about, we went online and stumbled upon a website that offers an ecommerce software. Thanks to Ashop Commerce, which carries this cute little logo,
offers a demo. It did help greatly in making them understand. Further navigation of the site, which I must say was quick to upload at the time, showed all the features that they offer. It also offers different packages to suit what the clients need. You wouldn’t really want to pay for features that you don’t need, do you? The free trial offer would be a great start for me should I go ahead.
But the big question remains. Do I still have a place online? I suppose this relies entirely on the type of business I will put up, the resources available at the time and timing.
