As this year’s American Idol coming to an end, the competition becomes even tougher. Kristy Lee Cook was the latest Idol to be evicted amongst the Top 7 hopeful contestants on American Idol 2008. This week’s theme was Mariah Carey’s.

Let’s hear Forever by Kristy Lee Cook:

Goodbye, Ramiele Malubay

Did it ever Cross your Mind that Ramiele Malubay would be the next Idol contestant to leave the American Idol 2008 Season 7? Unfortunately, Ramiele’s choice of songs from the selection of Dolly Parton’s country music did not “click” from the judges. You can hear it yourself from this youtube video:

Chikezie is Out

It’s time to say goodbye to - Chikezie. Chikezie Eze is the the most recent American Idol 2008 Season 7 contestant that had been ousted from the competition. We’ve got to be positive here. Chikezie had been chosen from thousands of American Idol hopefuls across the whole of USA. To be included in the Top 24 and even be in the American idol Top 10 is truly an amazing achievement. Chikezie had been a fantastic American Idol 2008 contestant and surely has some potentials but unfortunately he’s reached the end of the road, on American Idol Season 7 at least.

All the best mate.

Meanwhile, the top 9 American Idol 2008 contestants will have to battle it all out again on next week’s competition.

Philippine Independence Day in London

This is a little too early but would it not be interesting to find out what’s in store for the coming 110th Philippine Independence day 2008 celebration in London and across the UK.

Last year’s celebration, Filipinos in and out of London had gathered over the weekend to celebrate the 109th Philippine Independence Day in a Surrey park . Thousands had witnessed the two day event which was organised by KASAPI UK. Though it had rained on and off (very unusual!!!) throughout the whole event, everyone had braced the weather and absolutely enjoyed the presentation.

Journey Concert in Las Vegas

After the successful concert in Chile February 2008, Journey, with their new lead singer Arnel Pineda, is to hold yet another concert in Las Vegas Nevada on 8th March 2008. This is the Journey concert that will be recorded for dvd production/distribution. I really can’t wait for this.

Sadly, I won’t be able to attend the Journey concert, yet again, as I’m on holiday in Florida for two weeks. If only it’s just a few miles away, I will definitely come, no doubt. I will just have to purchase my own copy of Journey DVD and enjoy the Journey concert video.I strongly feel that the Journey concert in Las Vegas will be a successful night even in the absence of Steve Perry. I do hope that it will surpassed the satisfaction of the awesome Chilean crowd from their concert last month.

Good luck Journey on your Las Vegas concert and all of your upcoming concert in 2008.

American Idol 2008 contestants now down to 16

American Idol 2008 season 7 is getting much tougher as four more aspiring American Idols had been evicted from this weeks Top 20 Idols competition. Ryan Seacrest mentioned there were over 30 million voted for this weeks competition - wow not bad at all for a show which allegedly according to American Idol haters was loosing its lustre.

American Idol 2008

To be included in the top 24, let alone in the top 20, amongst thousands of American Idol hopefuls is such a great honour. Sadly it’s good bye for bubbly Alexandrea Lushington, emotional and embarrassed Alaina Whitaker, not so much of a rocker Robbie Carrico and taking head banging to a new level Jason Yeager. I do hope that their exposure in the American Idol 2008 Semi Finals will help boost their singing career should they decide to carry on. Good luck guys and gals.

Next week, American Idols are down to 16 and four more contestants will leave the competition. The Top 12 American Idols, 6 guys and 6 girls, will then compete for the finals. Far more interesting than last years competition, I tell you. So keep on watching.

Don’t Leave Me This Way, Ramiele Malubay

Last night, Ramiele Malubay sings Don’t Leave Me This Way on American Idol 2008 Top 10 girls competition. Watch this video:

And here’s what the judges said:

Randy thought it was okay, Paula didn’t think Ramiele Malubay got to perform her magic, Simon thought it wasn’t her best but Ramiele Malubay is one of the top three singers from the American Idol 2008 girls group. And to get a comment like that from Simon who gets more thrilled in giving “constructive criticism” is absolutely fantastic. You can see how happy Ramiele was from her eyes.

I must admit, I don’t like the song she chose but I thought Ramiele Malubay did justice to it. Listen to it one more time, compare it to the other girls peformance and you’ll surely agree with me. I can only hope that she gets to choose a better song for next week.

Are you a fan of Ramiele Malubay? If it’s 80’s music next week, what song should she pick?

American Idol 2008 Top 10 Guys

American Idol 2008 Season 7 Top 24 is now down to 20 when they eliminated 2 guys and girls last week. Tonight it’s the Top 10 guys turn to perform and wow the American voters. Last week theme was 60’s music. Guess what on this weeks show. It’s the 70’s music.
